My Favorite Top 10 Firefox Extensions
There was a time when using a Web Browser was a painful experience. And then, came a revolution that was called Firefox. Inspired by Open Source movement, for the first time, a web browser that could easily be customized to do anything anyone wanted to, was available. It was fast, it was stable. Very soon world started talking about how this browser could challenge Microsoft's dominance in the web browser market.
I created a list of my favorite Firefox extension. There are more than 30 in the list. Here I would like to document some of my favorites Firefox extensions.

- Adblock Plus : Ever been pissed off by all those ads and banners on the internet that often take longer to download than everything else on the page? Install Adblock Plus now and get relieve from them.
- Gspace: This is one of my favorites and I use it very frequently. This extension allows you to use your Gmail Space (6 GB and growing) for file storage. It acts as an online drive, so you can upload files from your hard drive and access them any time and any where by Internet capable system.
- FlashGot : Download all the links and playing media content of a page at the maximum speed with a single click, using this lightweight and reliable external download managers.
- Video DownloadHelper : The easy way to download and convert Web videos from hundreds of YouTube-like sites. This works also for audio and picture galleries.
- Firebug: This is very much useful for web developer. I always use it when I work on any web development project. You can edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript live in any web page.
- Read It Later : Read It Later allows you to save pages of interest to read later. It eliminates cluttering of bookmarks with sites that are merely of a one-time interest.
- BlogRovr : You don't have time to read ALL those Blogs! Let RovR do it for you. RovR brings posts from your favorite blogs about anything you're browsing, and shows you summaries you can open read posts without leaving the web page you were on. BlogRovR also suggests popular items AND lets you Twitter about any site you're on too.
- FireFTP : FireFTP is a free, secure, cross-platform FTP client for Mozilla Firefox which provides easy and intuitive access to FTP servers.
- ColorfulTabs: If you’re like me, you generally have a LOT of tabs open in Firefox. Sometimes this isn’t a problem. But there are times when the tabs can get a bit overwhelming and need a bit of organization. To help with this, ColorfulTabs gives each open tab a different color, making it easier to distinguish between them.
- YouPlayer: This is a must-have addon for all video-site fans! YouPlayer is a video player with playlist similar to Winamp. You may add/drag a video link into the playlist and watch it or download it. Currently supported sites: Google Video, MetaCafe, MySpace and YouTube. You may now even drag local files from hard drive into playlist and watch them.
So that’s my list of 10 extensions, from various categories, that will make your Firefox experience better. Some of these extensions are for power users and some are for everyone. What extensions have you found that make your daily browsing better?
